1. On July 15th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 37-year-old Cristhian E. Pazmino-Viniachi of Guttenberg, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Pazmino-Viniachi was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Pazmino-Viniachi was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of a responsible adult.

2. On July 18th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department received a call from the Essex County Correctional Center, informing our agency that they had a male in custody with two active warrants issued by our Municipal Court. At that time, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau responded to the correctional center and arrested 35-year-old Edison D. Pacheco-Orozco of Newark, NJ. Mr. Pacheco-Orozco was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. PachecoOrozco was issued two complaint warrants and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

3. On July 18th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau located and arrested 26-year-old Lawrence M. Finn of North Bergen, NJ, who had an active warrant issued by the North Bergen Municipal Court. Mr. Finn was then transported and released into the custody of members of the North Bergen Police Department.

4. On July 20th, 2024, while engaged in pro-active patrol of the Colombian Independence Day Block Party, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau observed what they believed were two adult males preparing to fight. During their on-scene investigation, Detectives arrested 37-year-old Oscar A. Portillo of Union City, NJ, for disorderly conduct [2C:33-2]. Following his arrest, it was also discovered that Mr. Portillo had two active warrants, issued by the Weehawken Municipal Court. Mr. Portillo was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Portillo was issued his complaint summons and then released on his own recognizance, pending his scheduled court appearances with the Guttenberg and Weehawken Municipal Courts.

5. On July 19th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division received a report of an attempted burglary on Park Avenue. On July 20th, 2024, Detectives of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau located and arrested 54-year-old Juan F. Tobar-Turcios of Guttenberg, NJ, for burglary [2C:18-2]. Mr. Tobar-Turcios was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Tobar-Turcios was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody.

6. On July 21st, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 42-year-old Robert Vargas of North Bergen, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Following his arrest, it was discovered that Mr. Vargas also had an active warrant for his arrest, issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Vargas was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Vargas was released into the custody of Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

7. On July 21st, 2024, a female walked into the Guttenberg Police Department, reporting that a male had touched her and made inappropriate comments to her while she was walking. At that time, the suspect walked into our police headquarters, as he continued to follow the victim. As the result of their on-scene investigation, Officers arrested 34- year-old Eustaquio Ruiz of Guttenberg, NJ, for harassment [2C:33-4C]. Mr. Ruiz was processed, issued his complaint summons, and then released from police custody.

8. On July 21st, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the North Bergen Police Department, informing our agency that they had a male in custody with an active warrant issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Members of the North Bergen Police Department’s Patrol Division transported the male to our police headquarters, where our Officers arrested 25-year-old Antonio A. Macias of Guttenberg, NJ. Mr. Macias was processed and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.
