35-Year-Old Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 5:26 p.m. on July 22, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 12th Avenue and Straight Street on a report of a shooting. Paterson Police located a 35-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey who suffered nonfatal gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
