Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi
announce that at approximately 12:19 a.m. on July 20, 2024, the Clifton Police Department
received a report of shots fired. Members of the Clifton Police Department responded to the area
of Lakeview Avenue and Merselis Avenue and found a deceased male with a gunshot wound to
his head inside a Honda HRV.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
