On May 30, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Bloomingdale’s in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Bloomingdale’s associates reported that two female suspects just selected three pairs of sunglasses valued at $2,061.00 and left the store without paying. Millburn Police Officer Reid stopped the suspect vehicle as it was exiting the mall. Nicole Goshay, age 41, of Orange, and Iman Barnes age 36, of Newark, were arrested and charged with shoplifting, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy.

On June 1, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Neiman Marcus associates reported that Victoria Durant, age 44, of Baltimore MD, concealed $1901.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. She also provided a false name to the Millburn Police Officer. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and hindering prosecution. On June 2, 2024, Millburn Police responded to The Racquets Club in Short Hills for a vehicle theft report. A racquet club member reported that her 2023 Audi A5 was stolen from the parking lot. It was reported that the key fob was left in the unlocked vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On June 4, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills Mall on a report of theft that just occurred. Neiman Marcus associates reported that Francis Dodds, age 71, of Riverdale NY, concealed $1040.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On June 4, 2024, Millburn Police Detective Herrera stopped a Jeep Grand Cherokee on 24 East for motor vehicle violations. The investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen from Jersey City in 2022. The vehicle’s VIN numbers had been altered. The driver, Travis Edwards, age 36, of East Orange, was placed under arrest and charged with receiving stolen property.

On June 5, 2024, during early morning hours, Millburn Police responded to 774 Rt 124 (Double take consignment store), on an activated commercial burglar alarm. While Officers were conducting a premise check of the business, it revealed that someone had forced entry into the business. Merchandise had been taken from the store. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On June 7, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Dundon stopped a black moped traveling around the Short Hills Mall with no license plates. The driver Devine Crute, age 29, of Orange NJ had an active warrant out of Kenilworth NJ. A pair of brass knuckles was located in his possession, He was charged with possession of an unlawful weapon.

On June 8, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Neiman Marcus associates reported that Tiffany Gittens, age 41, of Newark NJ, concealed $2750.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On June 8, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Sephora in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Sephora associates reported that Angie Franahui, age 23, of Newark NJ, concealed $400.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On June 9, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Macys in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Macy’s associates reported that Christian Galarza, age 30, of Plainfield NJ, concealed $275.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, and possession of an antishoplifting device. He also had an active warrant from NJ Transit police.

On June 10, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Macy’s associates reported that Syeedeah Williams, age 22, of Newark, concealed $175.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. She also provided a false name to the Millburn Police Officer. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On June 12, 2024, Millburn Police responded to CVS-187 Millburn Ave on a report of theft that just occurred. CVS associates reported that Marat Kurbanov, age 40, of Newark NJ, concealed $247.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On June 12, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Sun Haven Tans on a report of theft that just occurred. The owner reported that Kindra Keener, age 42, of NY concealed $87.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On June 13, 2024, during the early morning hours, the Millburn Police Department responded to a Deer Path residence on a report of an attempted burglary. The actors used force on a window to try and enter the home. After the alarm sounded the criminals fled. The suspect vehicle was found and a pursuit was initiated but had to be terminated due to safety concerns. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Department Detective Bureau.

On June 15, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Matos stopped a Ford Pickup truck traveling on Essex St for motor vehicle violations. The investigation led to the arrest of Douglas Faasse, age 50, of Hawthorne NJ for suspected DWI
