East Orange Celebrates MACFest on Sat, June 8, 2024

East Orange, NJ, June 7, 2024: The City of East Orange, in partnership with the Arts Council of East Orange and The Health Care Foundation of the Oranges, is very proud to host its 6th annual MACFest (Music + Arts + Culture) Festival on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 12pm-8pm at 44 City Hall Plaza, East Orange, NJ. MACFest, produced by Briclyn Entertainment Inc., will feature R&B vocalists Eric Benét and Tweet, and Latin music artist Tito Puente Jr.

This event is hosted by East Orange’s own Grammy-award winning MC Vinnie (VinRock) Brown of Naughty by Nature. The line-up also includes East Orange local and The Voice finalist Leah Jenea, R&B up-and-coming vocalist Gabby Samone, East Orange native and one half of the rap duo The Artifacts El Da Sensei, Kahlil Kwame Bell, Salsa, Cumbia, and Merengue Group Yanikeke, local hip-hop rapper AceDaFace, and sounds powered by former Fugees DJ Hard Hittin’ Harry.

Following a three-year-hiatus in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, East Orange MACFest is back and better than ever! This year’s event features a Wellness Village, Food Trucks, Art Park, Beer Garden, MACFEst Marketplace with 100+ vendors, a Kids Corner and more. With the opioid crisis at an all-time high, the Wellness Village will consist of a diverse array of health care providers and non-profit organizations dedicated to addressing the devastating impact of the opioid crisis on communities nationwide. The over-the-counter medication, Narcan, which is used to reverse opioid overdoses, will also be distributed to attendees.

MACFest, which is FREE and open to the public, celebrates the rich and vibrant arts and culture of the people of the City of East Orange and beyond.

City Hall Plaza is located directly across from the East Orange Train Station and a few minutes from Brick Church Train Station, both of which offer mid-town direct service to New York's Penn Station.
