Westwood, NJ (June 3, 2024) – Westwood’s Annual Summer Concert Series will kick-off the 2024 season with the first of seven shows on Thursday, June 13, when residents and neighbors make their way to Veterans Memorial Park for the return of Danny V’s 52nd Street Band, a Billy Joel Tribute. The concert will begin at 8:00 pm. Early birds are welcomed and encouraged! This year’s Summer Concert Series is generously sponsored by First Westwood Realty, Visions Federal Credit Union, Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center, Light Bridge Academy and Provident Bank.
Danny V’s 52nd Street Band is led by pianist, singer and showman, Dan Vechesky (Danny V) and features top NYC metro-area musicians driven to detail in re-creating Billy Joel’s music and live stage show. The band has been touring nationally for over 20 years and is the world's longest running tribute to Billy Joel, earning a reputation of rocking "A"-List venues.
The series will continue Thursday, June 20 with Tequila Rose performing the hottest "New Country" hits along with Country Classics and Classic Rock.
Thursday, June 27 will feature a new band in Westwood’s line-up – Riff, a North Jersey band covering high energy dance and party rock music including alternative rock and grunge rock from the 90’s, modern rock from the 2000’s to today, with some classic rock and new wave in their mix.
Here’s Elton will return to the bandstand on Wednesday, July 3 performing all of Elton John’s biggest hits as performer Russ Davis recreates the sights and sounds of Elton himself with more than 40 years of experience.
Westwood resident Nina Lewis returns as lead singer of Soul Groove playing the best pop, dance, R&B and soul hits on Thursday, July 11.
On Thursday, July 18, Reminisce, one of the oldest, continuously performing oldies bands in New Jersey treats concert goers to its 10-piece show band that include a 3-piece horn section, playing tunes from previous decades, with a focus on the Motown era and great American music.
Finally, the concert season ends with Tramps Like Us on Thursday, July 25. Front-man Mark Salore brings 32+ years of road-tested musicianship with Tramps Like Us to the Westwood Summer Concert Series. Their spirit, energy and intensity have earned the band the distinction of the planet’s most revered Bruce Springsteen Tribute band.
