21-Year-Old Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 7:50 p.m. on June 2, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Butler Street and Sassafras Street on report of a shooting. Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area. While on scene, Paterson Police were advised that a 21-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey was transported to transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
