Kearny Honors Fallen Heroes at Four Chaplains Monument

Kearny residents gathered for the closing ceremony of the town’s Memorial Day observances at the Four Chaplains Monument.

Scout Troop 305 from St. Stephen’s conducted the retiring of the colors, ensuring the proper disposal of worn American flags.

The program began with opening remarks by Scout Leader Jeffrey Jablonski. Father Joe Mancini delivered a moving speech honoring the Four Chaplains of the U.S.A.T. Dorchester, who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II.

In attendance were members of American Legion Post 99, VFW Post 1302, and the Marine Corps Detachment, along with Mayor Carol Jean Doyle, Town Council Members, Kearny Fire Department personnel, and residents.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated and paid tribute to those who gave their all for our nation.
