Secaucus Police Blotter 10/21/2019 - 10/27/2019

Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 10/21/2019 at 9:40 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32 year old male, William Crawford of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Crawford was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 10/22/2019 at 12:46 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a dispute involving an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27 year old male, Beshoy Mehany of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Mehany was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 10/22/2019 at 9:04 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Route 3 West in the area of the Meadowlands Parkway ramp on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30 year old male, Timur Sarki of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $3,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Rutherford, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Sarki was also charged with Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance [2C:20-10C]. Mr. Sarki was served his complaint warrant along with 6 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/23/2019 at 9:48 AM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26 year old male, Jamal Riley of Newark, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Riley was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/23/2019 at 10:05 PM, Secaucus Police received a report of a male urinating in the parking lot of 100 Metro Way. During the investigation, the Police arrested a 63 year old male, Berhane Aberha of Lodi, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Aberha was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and 1 Special Complaint summons for Urinating in Public [106.1A]. Mr. Aberha was subsequently released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 10/25/2019 at 12:57 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20 year old male, Keoni Jamison of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Millburn, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. The Millburn Police Department did release Mr. Jamison on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was subsequently released from police custody.

On 10/26/2019 at 9:48 PM, Secaucus Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle that the police believed possibly needed assistance. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39 year old female, Renata Ramos of Palisades Park, NJ for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Ramos was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
