CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – TOWN OF SECAUCUS (Hudson) Is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual with excellent managerial skills for the position of Chief Financial Officer. The position may be full or part time.
The qualified individual will be responsible for all municipal government financial functions; including all statutory requirements, as well as preparation and oversight of the municipal budget, payroll, pension reports, bank reconciliations, finance related ordinances and resolutions, A/P, A/R, grants and escrow accounts management. The candidate should have strong analytical skills and provide leadership in all financial dealing of the Town. BS in Accounting or Finance required; Certified Municipal Finance Officers (CMFO), MBA/CPA/MPA and QPA certification are preferred. Certified Tax Collector (CTC) license is a plus. Municipal accounting experience required. Must have prior experience in a CFO environment; municipal experience in a similar capacity required. Strong financial analysis; proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and municipal accounting and tax software are required. Must be organized, focused with strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Other responsibilities include serving as pension certifying officer, maintenance of an encumbrance system and fixed asset system. Salary commensurate with experience.
