Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

The Historic Preservation Commission invites you to the Dedication Ceremony of The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Railroad Station this Saturday, May 18 at Noon, at 1 Piermont Road. A free walking tour about Elizabeth Cady Stanton begins at 1:00pm. The rain date is Sunday May 19.

Congratulations to Tiger Boys Tennis who clinched the Conference Championship for the Big North National Division. This is the 5th championship for Boys tennis since 2019. And congratulations to Boys Tiger Lacrosse who made the final four in the Bergen County Boys Lacrosse tournament for the 1st time in the 10 year history of the program.

This Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm is bicycle demo riding day, bike show, music, and BBQ at 175 County Road hosted by the Bicycle Workshop. For details visit www.bicycleworkshop.com

It’s family movie night featuring Clifford The Big Red Dog. Free entry. Children three years old to third grade must be accompanied by an adult. Light snacks provided. This Saturday, May 18, from 4 to 6pm, at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue.

The Tenafly Library Friends are thrilled to present Latin Jazz Guitarist, Nelson Riveros this Sunday, May 19th, 2 pm at the Library. This concert is free and no advanced registration is needed. Join us as we enjoy this incredible talent, who is also a Tenafly resident.

This Saturday, May 18th at the Nature Center families with children ages 3 to 7 can join Story Time and a visit from an Animal Ambassador. The Tenakill Swim Club is opening next weekend! Dive into a new season of fun and fitness! Join the swim club for world of adventure, community, and wellness. Opening Weekend is May 25th through the 27th.

The 26th annual TEF 5K Run & Dog Walk, Stroller Trot, Cub Races, Dog Parade and 1-Mile Fun Run are June 2. Race Weekend events kick off Friday, May 31 with a 5k Party followed by a Saturday pre-race Pasta Party dinner and musical performance by the 8th Grade Honors Orchestra. The St. Thomas Armenian and Mediterranean Food Festival will take place from Noon to 6:00 pm, on Monday, May 27, Memorial Day, at the St. Thomas Armenian Church. There will be plenty of entertainment including music, a petting zoo, pony rides, clowns and more.

The JCC and the Lavish: Gallery Edition committee, invites you to an evening of art and philanthropy on Thursday, May 30th at 7 pm at the JCC. Explore captivating artworks by local talent while supporting seniors and caregivers. Enjoy delicious cuisine, lively dueling pianos, handcrafted cocktails, and connect with fellow guests. On Saturday, June 8 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm the Senior Center will be holding its 3rd annual Health and Wellness Fair. If you are interested in being a vendor, call the Center for details at 201-569-2159.

The Fire Department is inviting everyone to an open house and equipment muster on Saturday, June 8th from Noon to 4:00 pm at the Fire Department Headquarters at 100 Riveredge Road. This event is to promote resident's interest in volunteering to serve the community. Enjoy a display of antique and new fire trucks from the area, a smoke house for fire prevention education, refreshments and more. Everyone is welcome to attend. The rain date is June 15th.
