Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge
Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 10:22 a.m. on May 5, 2024, members of the Paterson
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Broadway and East 24th Street on report of a
shooting. Paterson Police located a 62-year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey. The
victim, Daryle Robinson, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to St. Joseph’s
University Medical Center for treatment. Robinson had been in the hospital receiving treatment
until he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on May 7, 2024.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
