Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

Join us for our 4th Annual Lacrosse Day on Saturday, April 27th! Games start at 10 am on Geissinger Field. Come on over and enjoy food trucks, vendors, prizes, games and more! Remember to bring new or used lacrosse equipment for donation. Family fun for everyone, see you there!

Congratulations to Boys Lacrosse, they are ranked in the top 10 in Bergen County after 3 consecutive wins. The team has been nominated as team of the week by the Bergen Record and Senior Dylan Reichel has been nominated as player of the week by the Bergen Record.

This Sunday, April 28th, sponsor and plant a tree at the Nature Center in honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day and help ensure the health of our forest.

Our town-wide Trash-a-Thon is this Sunday, April 28 from 1 to 4 pm, meeting at Huyler Park. Everyone is welcome to attend as we clean up our community and raise donations for the Nature Center. Volunteer to collect litter or sponsor a volunteer.

The Magic of Making: Fabricating for Fairies: This Saturday, April 27th Fairies have come to the Nature Center. Adults and families with children ages 4 and up can join TNC Environmental Educators to explore the Fairy Trail and build fairy houses of your very own.

Get ready to be swept off your feet and transported to a world of song, dance, and laughter as Tenafly High School proudly presents "Music Man: The Musical"! This timeless classic promises to be an unforgettable experience for the whole family, with performances May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at 7:30pm. Tickets are now on sale at thstheater.com.

Mommy/Daddy and Me group meets Saturdays, 9:30 am to 11 am at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue. Coffee and chat for the parents and lots of fun toys for the kids. For age 5 and under, free of charge, all are welcome.

The Tenafly Spring Fling is May 4th! 11 am to 4 pm at Huyler Park. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, this is a spring event for the whole family to enjoy! A day of food, fun, games, art and more.

Join a festive family Cinco de Mayo party on May 5 at 5:30 pm with music, food and a conga line! RSVP to Tenaflypresbyterianchurch@gmail.com or call 201-567-0111. Join in at 55 Magnolia Avenue, downstairs in the social hall.

The Garden Clubs’ Mother’s Day plant sale is May 10th and 11th, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Greenhouse at Davis Johnson Park and Oresko Memorial Green. Flowering annuals in pots of varying sizes, hanging planters and flats will be available.

Sign-up for the Sunday, May 12th Rubin Run. Celebrating health and wellness for all ages and abilities, the Rubin Run also raises funds to support programs that make the JCC accessible and inclusive to our entire community. Register at www.jccotp.org
