Live Entertainment for the Week of April 22, 2024

As part of Shanghai Jazz’s continuing “Tuesday Jazz Trio Series,” welcome **John Bianculli** on piano. Pianist, composer and educator, John brings his lyrical, soulful sound and creative arrangements to Shanghai Jazz for tonight's two sets. You’ll hear a unique blend of Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, R&B and World Music. Tonight, John is joined by **Sue Williams** on Bass and **John Vourtsis** on Drums.

Corbitt Williams is an energetic performer and music lover. He traveled with Disney Cruise lines as a performer and worked as a cabaret singer in New York before discovering his love of teaching and performing for families. Mr. Corbitt will share books of contemporary songs from the realms of jazz, reggae, pop, rock, and R&B along with children's songs and rhymes.

New Jersey's legends, **THE NERDS,** return for their first HOMESTEAD appearance of 2024! Come early for dinner and stay for the show. The **NERDS** take the stage at 8:00 p.m.

Experience the NYCP Chamber Music Series featuring two significant string quartets. NYCP performs Benjamin Britten's String Quartet No. 1, written during Britten's time in New York at the beginning of World War II. This performance is paired with recitations of poetry and correspondence, followed by a moving rendition of Dmitri Shostakovich's tragic war memorial, String Quartet No. 8.
