Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit – Fatal Accident Investigation Task Force and the Ridgefield Police Department are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at the intersection of Shaler Boulevard and Edgewater Avenue in Ridgefield, NJ on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at approximately 7:37 p.m. The pedestrian, a 15-year-old female from Ridgefield, was pronounced deceased at Hackensack University Medical Center.
This ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Ridgefield Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Gallagher.
