Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge
Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 7:50 p.m. on April 13, 2024, members of the Paterson
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Lyon Street and East 16th Street in Paterson,
New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members of the Paterson Police Department
located a 28-year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey, a 23-year-old female victim from
Haledon, New Jersey, and a 31-year-old female victim from Paterson, New Jersey. The victims
were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment
for non-fatal gunshot wounds. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
