During the week of September 30, 2019, PSE&G crews will perform the following work:

Replacing gas main and services on P. Plank Rd. and Irving St.….7am to 4pm. P. Plank Rd. will be open to thru traffic. |

Replacing gas main and services on Centre Ave. and 6th St…7am to 4pm. Centre Ave. will be closed to thru traffic with the exception of emergency and handicap access. |

Replacing gas main and services on Garry Terr and Central Ln.…7am to 4pm. Garry Terr. will be closed to thru traffic with the exception of emergency and handicap access. |

Replacing gas main and services on Flanagan Way and 5th St…. 7am to 4pm. Flanagan Way will be closed to thru traffic with the exception of emergency and handicap access. |
This project is part of the PSE&G Gas System Modernization Program (GSMP) to replace aging cast iron and unprotected steel gas mains in order to support a safe, clean and reliable gas system.
The mains and services will be replaced with stronger more durable materials which are much less likely to have leaks and release methane gas.
The new elevated pressure systems also enable the installation of excess flow valves that dramatically reduce gas flow if a service line is damaged, and provide better support for the use of high-efficiency appliances.
