On March 28, 2024, at approximately 12:10 p.m., Police Officers Nathaniel Arocho and Roberto Cuevas responded to the 400 block of First Street on reports of a hit and run. The caller said he was following a vehicle that struck his car twice on purpose. Officers located the caller and the actor, later identified as 60-year-old Michelle Fuccilli of Hoboken, in Jersey City. Lt. Keith Rotondi, Sgt. Fracisco Rosa, and Detectives Michael Losurdo and John Quinones arrived on scene to assist. An on-site investigation found that Fuccilli and the original caller got into an argument at a store on the 300 block of Jackson Street which turned into a physical altercation. The victim got into his car and drove away, which is when Fuccilli followed and struck the other car two times from behind on purpose. Fuccilli was arrested and charged with assault by auto and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. In the driver’s seat of his car, officers observed a small clear plastic bag tied at the top with a knot containing a white rock like substance suspected to be CDS methamphetamine and he was further charged with possession of CDS. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. It was discovered he had two warrants; one from Secaucus and one from Jersey City. He was processed on those warrants and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Police Officers Christopher Soto and Nicholas Protopapadakis traveled to New Jersey State Police Troop D Holmdel Station to take custody of 31-year-old Kevin Guzman, of Franklin Lakes, who had a warrant out of Hoboken for theft. Guzman was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he was processed on the warrant. He was then transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 12:55 p.m., Detective Ryan Houghton and Police Officer Roberto Cuevas were patrolling the area of Third and River Streets when they observed a man on the ground outside of Giannone Wine & Liquor Co, 305 River St. They were informed by dispatch that the panic alarm had been activated inside the store. It was learned that the man on the ground, later identified as 34-year-old Erick Figueroa of Hoboken, had entered the store and broke several items including multiple bottles of wine. He was arrested for criminal mischief. Sgt. Frank Rosa and Police Officers Joseph Lupo and Frank Lombardo arrived on the scene to assist. The manager told officers that Figueroa made other customers feel uncomfortable and was stumbling. When he was told he wouldn’t be sold any more alcoholic beverages, Figueroa became irate and grabbed items off the counter and threw them on the floor. At one point, he yelled that he had a weapon and wanted to kill someone, which is when the manager activated the panic alarm. Figueroa continued to break things in the store, including a light fixture and a handheld barcode scanner. He tried to remove the register and throw it on the floor, but the manager stopped him. Figueroa also grabbed the manager by the shirt. He grabbed three mini-bottles of liquor before he was removed from the business. He was charged with robbery, making terroristic threats, and criminal mischief. During processing at Hoboken Police Headquarters, Figueroa refused to allow officers to fingerprint him. He was further charged with refusal to submit to fingerprinting and was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Police Officer Joseph Lupo was flagged down by someone on the 200 block of Adams Street who said someone had just stolen the tip jar from his establishment, Hoboken Burrito, 209 Fourth St. Officer Lupo followed the actor in his patrol car to the New Jersey Transit parking lot, 301 Observer Hwy., which is where he got out of his car and chased him on foot. Sgt. Christopher LaBruno, Det. John Quinones, and Police Officer Anthony Rutkowski arrived and assisted with the search for the actor who was located under a pick-up truck in the parking lot. Sgt. Frank Rosa and Det. Ryan Houghton arrived on scene. It was learned the actor, later identified as 37-year-old Reginald Scott of Colonie, NY, ordered food from the restaurant and while he was waiting, grabbed the tip jar and ran. He threw the jar at an employee who was chasing him before Officer Lupo got involved. Scott was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with robbery, resisting arrest by eluding by flight, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On March 31, 2024, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Police Officers Cynthia Rivera and Teddy Santiago responded to the area of 15th Street and Park Avenue on reports of a motor vehicle accident. When they arrived, they saw one car with heavy front-end damage and the air bag deployed and it appeared the vehicle had hit a wooden utility pole. Two of the passengers were taken to an area hospital; one with a severe cut on her head and the other after vomiting and complaining of neck pain. A third passenger was treated on the scene for shoulder pain by the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Officers smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from the breath of the driver, identified as 25-year-old Yesenia Sandoval of Union City. She was given a series of field sobriety tests after which she was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was also charged with reckless driving, refusal to submit a breath test, and two counts of assault by auto. As per John’s Law she was released into the custody of a responsible party.

On March 31, 2024, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Police Officers Daniel Barron and Jonathan Figueroa responded to the 300 block of Grand Street on reports that someone was inside the gated area of a home. When they got there, the person was still in the private area and officers saw her rummaging through trash. Police advised the woman, identified as 30-year-old Breona Douglas of Weehawken, to exit the gated area. A search found that Douglas had an active warrant for criminal trespassing out of Newark, and she was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest found her to be in possession of two cylindrical glass pipes with burnt residue on the tip commonly used to inhale CDS crack cocaine, three wax-like folds commonly used to store CDS heroin, copper mesh wiring commonly used to smoke CDS crack-cocaine, and a small white crystal like rock, suspected to be CDS crack cocaine. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. Douglas was charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal defiant trespassing, and bail jumping. She was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On March 31, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Police Officers Daniel Barron and Jessica Pizanie responded to the Hoboken Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St., on reports of two females fighting. Upon their arrival they saw a woman, later identified as 29-year-old Crystal Bent of Hoboken, kicking and screaming while being held on the ground by a shelter employee. Once she was picked up off the ground, she began swinging her arms and walking toward the officers and she refused to stop when advised to do so. She continued to scream and swing her arms, eventually contacting officers, when they placed her under arrest. While trying to handcuff her, Bent made her arms tense to avoid arrest. Police Officers Anthony Hochstadter, Mark Mooreman, and Damien Bates arrived on the scene to assist. Once outside the shelter, Bates kicked one of the officers in the leg. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with disorderly, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest. She was released with a summons and court date.

On March 31, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Police Officers Shelby Seickendick and Nicklas Valerius observed two men approach another man they knew to sell illegal narcotics on the 300 block of Marshall Drive. When the men saw the officer’s patrol car, they turned away. Officers approached them on the 300 block of Harrison Street. Sgt. Dennis Figueroa, Sgt. Francis McCourt, and Police Officers Nassir Willey, Harry Montalvo, Jason Montalvo, an Alexander Miller arrived on the scene to assist. The men were told they were trespassing. It was learned one of the men, later identified as 35-year-old Ricky Valdes of Union City, had two warrants; one from West New York and another from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office. Valdes was issued a summons for defiant trespassing. Hudson County Sheriff’s officers took custody of Valdes.

On March 31, 2024, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Police Officers Harold Milne, Jessica Pizzane, and Shyenna Vega responded to the 200 block of Hudson Street on reports of a suspicious female in a building. They located a woman who matched a description of the suspect sleeping in the hallway of the 13th floor. She woke up and identified herself as 31-year-old Debby Torres of East Orange. She was found to have a warrant out of Hoboken for criminal trespassing. Torres was charged with another count of trespassing and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. She was later transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On April 1, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Matthew Bonanno were on routine patrol around Bloomfield and 11th Streets, when they heard a vehicle accelerating and then saw the same car fail to stop at a stop sign. They conducted a traffic stop and found the driver, later identified as 29- year-old Henry Calderon of Union City, with the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. He was asked to get out of the car and was observed to have slurred speech and uncooperative behavior. Sgt. James Barbro and Police Officer Harold Milne arrived on the scene. Calderon refused to submit to a standard field sobriety test. Based on the officer’s observations, he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transferred to Hoboken Police Headquarters. A search of the vehicle located an open bottle of tequila on the front passenger seat. Calderon was charged with failing to stop or yield, driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath samples, reckless driving, and open container. As per John’s Law, Calderon was released into the custody of a responsible party.

On April 1, 2024. At approximately 2 a.m., Police Officers Christopher Soto and Nicholas Protopapadakis responded to a residential building on the 400 block of Eighth Street on reports of an assault. Sgt. James Barbro also responded. An onscene investigation discovered a woman, later identified as 37-year-old Emily Barragan of Hoboken, pepper sprayed another woman in the eyes, after the two got into an argument in front of the building they both live in. The Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived to treat the other woman. Police Officers Marvin DeJesus and Keven De La Cruz arrived on the scene to assist. Barragan was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she was processed on charges of aggravated assault and possession of weapons for unlawful purposes. She was released on a summons.

On April 1, 2024, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Police Officers David Chicara and Frank Lombardo responded to the 100 block of Madison Street on reports of a nondomicile person sleeping in a laundry room. The officers located the man, later identified as 42-year-old Marcus Morales, and woke him up. It was discovered that he had multiple warrants out of Hoboken for theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fare evasion. During a search incident to arrest, officers located two small glass cylindrical tubes with burnt ends commonly used to ingest CDS crack cocaine. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On April 1, 2024, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Police Officers Jonathan Figueroa and Frank Losurdo responded to the 100 block of Bloomfield Street on reports of two people trying to enter a home through the basement window. Officers reviewed home surveillance video and searched the area for the individuals. A short time later, Police Officer Cuevas stopped two people that fit the descriptions of both suspects around Newark Street and Washington Street. The two people, identified as 24-year-old Nyri Poole who has no known address and 37-year-old Brania Fernandez-Rosario of Hoboken, were arrested. A search incident to arrest of Fernandez-Rosario found a cylindrical glass pipe burnt on both ends, a metal rod, and a black duffle bag filled with cleaning products which were discovered to have been stolen from CVS, 59 Washington St. Both were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. Fernandez-Rosario was found to have two outstanding warrants; one out of Hoboken and another out of Hudson County. Nyri was issued a summons for criminal attempt and released from custody. Fernandez-Rosario was charged with criminal attempt, burglary, shoplifting, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On April 3, 2024, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Police Officers Harold Milne and Alexander Miller conducted a building sweep of a property on the 300 block of Marshall Drive, due to complaints of non-residents hanging out in hallways and stairwells. While conducting the sweep, officers located a man, later identified as 33-year-old Angel Lopez-Sierra of Hoboken, who seemed startled by their arrival and attempted to conceal something behind him. Police Officers Tyrone Huggins and Nasir Willey arrived on the scene to assist. It was discovered there were four active warrants for Lopez-Sierra's arrest. A search incident to arrest discovered a push rod commonly used to pack a crack pipe with narcotics. Officers also found two more push rods in the immediate area, and a glass cylindrical pipe burnt at one end containing copper mesh and suspected CDS crack cocaine in his glove. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed. He was charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and defiant trespassing. There was one arrest warrant for him from Bayonne, two from Hoboken, and one from Edgewater. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. During the arrest, Officer Milne recognized a jacket that Lopez-Sierra had in his possession as one that a suspect wore in a shoplifting on February 28, 2024. Following further investigation, he was additionally charged with shoplifting in that incident.

On April 1, 2024, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Police Officers Shelby Seickendick and Nasir Willey were patrolling the Hoboken Housing Authority , when they observed a male, later identified as 47-year-old Sandro Leveratto of Hoboken, standing in a parking lot on the 300 block of Marshall Drive. Due to the fact that there are signs posted throughout the complex warning against trespassing, Leveratto was stopped. It was discovered he had an open warrant from Hoboken, and he was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed a glass cylindrical pipe and a burnt copper mesh, both commonly used to ingest CDS. Officers also found an unlabeled prescription pill bottle that contained approximately 20 orange pills that were discovered to be amphetamine/dextroamphetamine which is classified as a controlled substance. He was transported to the Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and defiant trespassing. Leveratto was later transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On April 2, 2024, at approximately 10:28 a.m., Police Officers Jaydan Gonzalez and Frank Lombardo responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting. When they arrived, store security had a suspect in custody after they saw the woman, later identified as 27-year-old Djamil Amadou-Seyni of Jersey City, concealing items in a shopping cart and trying to walk out without paying for merchandise totaling $136.12. It was discovered that she paid for other items that were part of an Instacart order. She was placed under arrest for shoplifting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. She was later released on a summons.

On April 2, 2024, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Police Officers Jennifer Lee and Rose Kanan responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to take a walk-in report from a woman who says she was slapped on her bottom while in ShopRite, 900 Madison St. She recognized the man as 37-year-old Jovanni Sanes of Hoboken and said after slapping her, he continued to verbally threaten her. She also said Sanes had previously bothered members of her family, including her mother who he spit on. The next day, on April 3, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Sgt. Wiliam Collins and Detectives Fabian Quinones and Connor Milne responded to the 300 block of 13th Street to arrest Sanes on criminal sexual contact charges. When they entered the apartment, Sanes became agitated and began screaming at the officer and continued to scream and spit at them while being transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was processed and ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
