Lincoln Park Resident Arrested for Shoplifting at Target

Fairfield (NJ) – The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Scott Dudas (25), of Lincoln Park, N.J., for shoplifting on April 6, 2024. On that date at approximately 2:43 pm, officers were dispatched to Target on a report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon their arrival,Officers Sean Wilk and Katrina Guevara located Dudas being detained.

It is alleged that Dudas loaded a shopping cart with various items, then attempted to exit the store without paying. He was stopped by security at that time and detained until police arrival. The total value shoplifted was $1205.71.

Dudas was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. He was later transported to the Essex County Jail pending a first appearance.
