Kearny's Woman of the Year Shines at Hudson County Celebration!

During the Annual Hudson County Women’s History Month Celebration held at the Brennan Courthouse, Carol Hearn Manley, Kearny Woman Of The Year, nominated by Mayor Carol Jean Doyle, was among the women honored by County Executive Craig Guy and the Board of Commissioners.

This celebration was a salute to the women of Hudson County who dedicate themselves to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion across various sectors including business, government, community service, and more. Carol, who served as a parking enforcement officer before retiring in 2022, also held the positions of Trustee and Shop Steward for the Municipal Workers Union. Her work as the 2006 Domestic Violence Advocate of the Year has been vital to survivors in finding hopeful and constructive paths forward. She served as the 2014 Deputy Grand Marshall of the West Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade and was named the 2016 Girl Scout Troop 2777 Woman of the Year further highlighting commitment to her community.

We are proud to have Carol Hearn Manley in our community, and we thank the County for recognizing her alongside the other outstanding women of Hudson County!
