The Fire Department is sponsoring a fire safety education program for high school students in the Junior and Senior classes on March 18th at 9:30 AM at THS. This program is based on a fire that occurred at Seton Hall University on January 19, 2000. This tragic event took the lives of three students, caused injuries and brought to light the need to further educate students on the importance of campus fire safety. Our Volunteer Fire Department has been providing dedicated emergency service to the residents of Tenafly for over 130 years. The Fire Department will also make the community aware of the volunteer fire opportunities offered to high school students.
