Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge
Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 3:20 p.m. on March 12, 2024, members of the Paterson
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Market Street and Summer Street in Paterson,
New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Members of the Paterson Police Department located a 37-
year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey, and a 24-year-old male victim from Paterson,
New Jersey. Both victims were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson,
New Jersey, for non-fatal gunshot wounds. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in
the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
