Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 6:29 p.m. on March 6, 2024, members of the
Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Main Street in
Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival to the area, members of the
Paterson Police Department located one shooting victim, a 28-year-old male Paterson, New
Jersey resident. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in
Paterson for treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area. The investigation remains active
and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
