Airmont, NY Man Charged With Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANDREW VILLAFUERTE (DOB: 4/28/1990; single; entertainer) of Airmont, NY on charges of aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the New Milford Police Department under the direction of Chief Brian Clancy.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Milford Police Department revealed that ANDREW VILLAFUERTE had sexually assaulted a child in the past, in New Milford, NJ.

As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, ANDREW VILLAFUERTE was arrested in Airmont, NY and charged with three counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3(a); and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. VILLAFUERTE was remanded to the Rockland County Jail pending extradition to Bergen County for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the New Milford Police Department and the Ramapo Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
