Piermont, Ny Man Charged With Sexual Assault of a Child

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JOHN MARK DILLON (DOB: 7/20/1963; married; cook) of Piermont, NY on charges of aggravated sexual assault. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Northvale Police Department under the direction of Chief Howard Ostrow.

On Monday, February 26, 2024 the Northvale Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred in the past. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Northvale Police Department revealed that JOHN MARK DILLON sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 in Northvale, NJ.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Monday, February 26, 2024, detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office arrested JOHN MARK DILLON in Orangeburg, NY. DILLON was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1), and is awaiting extradition to Bergen County, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Northvale Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
