Jose Elmer Enriquez Sentenced for Sexually Assaulting a Child

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces that Jose Elmer Enriquez, age 48, of Paterson, has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a child.

Mr. Enriquez was arrested on July 23, 2020, after an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. He subsequently pled guilty on July 5, 2023, before the Honorable Imre Karaszegi, Jr., J.S.C., to two counts of Sexual Assault for committing an act of sexual contact with a child under the age of thirteen on multiple occasions at a residence in Passaic. On February 9, 2024, the Honorable Imre Karaszegi, Jr., J.S.C., sentenced Mr. Enriquez to twelve (12) years in New Jersey State Prison, with 85% of the term to be served before parole eligibility pursuant to the No Early Release Act. Upon release from prison, Mr. Enriquez will be subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law registration requirements.

Passaic County Assistant Prosecutor Monica Martini represented the State during the sentencing hearing and Leanne Healy, Esq. represented Mr. Enriquez.
