Secaucus Police Blotter 02/05/2024 to 02/11/2024

On 02/06/2024 at 10:21 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 64-year-old male, Raymond Koeller of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Koeller was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 02/06/2024 at 11:45 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Teaneck Police Department to take into custody a 36-year-old female, Gabriela Acosta of Paramus, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,250.00. Acosta was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date and was released from police custody.

On 02/06/2024 at 4:10 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old female, Gissell Cruzgabriel of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. The Woodbridge did release Ms. Cruzgabriel on her own recognizance pending a future court date and was released from police custody.

On 02/07/2024 at 4:37 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Riverside Station Boulevard on a well-being check of a juvenile. It was reported to the police that the parent of the juvenile was possibly intoxicated and not able to care for his child. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. The male was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/08/2024 at 2:20 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Sorin Marcu of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Marcu was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 02/09/2024 at 2:34 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Aloft Hotel located at 460 Harmon Meadow Boulevard on a report of suspicious package that was received by the hotel. An investigation was conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Anti-Crime Unit. On 02/10/2024 at 12:50 AM, Secaucus responded back to the Aloft Hotel and took into custody a 45-year-old male, Edgar Chavez of Temecula, CA for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(10)(B)] in a quantity of approximately 18 lbs, Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3] and Possession of CDS believed to be Psilocybin [2C:35-10A(1)]. Chavez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 02/10/2024 at 4:48 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Emmanuel Coronado-Rosario of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Lodi, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Coronado-Rosario was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.

On 02/10/2024 at 10:38 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Extended Stay America located at 1 Meadowland Parkway on a report made to Secaucus Police Dispatch that there was a male located in a hotel room at the location who had a firearm and was not allowing others in the room to leave. An investigation was conducted which revealed the initial report of a male with a firearm was found to be false. During further investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male, Zaire Jacobs of Paterson, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crystal Meth [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Jacobs was found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00. The police also arrested a 41-year-old male, Miguel Pacheco of Hawthorne, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia with no bail. Mr. Pacheco was subsequently charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Both Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Pacheco were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/11/2024 at 2:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43 year old male, Julio Ramirez of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ramirez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
