Second Person Charged in Daniel Road “Chop Shop” Operation

Fairfield (NJ) – The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Virelsa Guzman, (33), of Yonkers, NY in connection with a “chop shop” that was being operated in the Township. On February 5, 2024, detectives charged Guzman with two counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle, one count of operating a facility for the sale of stolen automobile parts and a single count of conspiracy to operate a facility for the sale of stolen automobile parts.

Guzman is the second person to be charged in this investigation. On January 30, 2024 Edison Cuevas (37), of Yonkers, NY was arrested on the same charges.

Guzman was transported to the Essex County Jail pending a first appearance.
