Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Passaic County Sheriff Gary Giardina
announce that on February 1, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Passaic County
Sheriff’s Office found the body of a 42-year-old man in Garrett Mountain Reservation. The
decedent’s vehicle was also located in the area.
Although this matter remains an active and ongoing investigation, there are no suspects being
sought at this time, and there is no danger to the public.
