Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 09/09/2019 at 7:06 AM, an individual entered Secaucus Police Headquarters for the purpose of satisfying 2 outstanding warrants. The police arrested a 35 year old male, Brian Johnson of Frankford, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Parssipany-Troy Hills, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newton Township, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Both the Parssipany-Troy Hills Police Department and the Newton Township Police Department released Mr. Johnson on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.

On 09/09/2019 at 8:36 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Chase Bank located at 450 Plaza Drive on a report of suspicious males on the premises. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20 year old male, Anferny Vargas of Westbury, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Unlawful Use of Credit Cards [2C:21-6C(1)]. The police also arrested a 20 year old male, Giovanni Rodriguez, of the Bronx, NY and a 20 year old male, Gabriel Valdez of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana[2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Vargas was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. Mr. Rodriguez and Mr. Valdez were issued their complaint summons and were released from police custody.

On 09/11/2019 at 10:02 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 28 year old male, Jose Maldonado of Paterson, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be MDMA/Ecstasy [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Maldonado was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/11/2019 at 5:08 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 25 year old male, Basir Mccoy, of Philadelphia, PA for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, specifically metal knuckles [2C:39-3E]. Mr. Mccoy was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/12/2019 at 8:26 AM, Secaucus Police responded to 1109 Riverside Station Boulevard on a welfare check. During the course of the investigation, the police arrested a 45 year old female, Kristie Maldonado of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Carlstadt, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Ms. Maldonado was able to post bail and was subsequently released from police custody.

On 09/12/2019 at 1:50 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a fight in progress. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30 year old male, Marlon Baker of New York, NY for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(3)], Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D] and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a baseball bat [2C:39-5D]. Mr. Baker was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/12/2019 at 5:22 PM, officer’s from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 45 year old male, Saurabh Sharma of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $300.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Sharma was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 09/13/2019 at 8:51 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Recreation Center located at 1200 Koelle Boulevard on a report of a male who was possibly intoxicated attempting to operate a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56 year old male, Thomas Bogosian of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Bogosian was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 4 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 09/13/2019 at 12:20 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Ashley Furniture located at 925 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a male attempting to use a fraudulent credit card. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29 year old male, Anthony Aquino of Allentown, PA for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H] and Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1D]. Mr. Aquino was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/14/2019 at 5:20 AM, Officer’s from the Jersey City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 23 year old male, Dashawn Adams of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of 500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Both the Irvington Police Department and the Secaucus Police Department did release Mr. Adams on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from police custody.

On 09/15/2019 at 2:54 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26 year old male, Aboubakary Kanuteh of the Bronx, NY for Eluding [2C:29-2B] and Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Kanuteh was also found to have 3 outstanding warrants issued out of Roxbury, NJ in the amount of $1,200.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Closter, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Both the Roxbury Police Department and the Closter Police Department did release Mr. Kanuteh on his own recognizance. Mr. Kanuteh was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
