Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Woodland Park Police Chief John Uzzalino
announce that at approximately 1:56 a.m. on January 28, 2024, members of the Woodland Park
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Browertown Road and Route 46 in Woodland
Park, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members of the Woodland Park Police
Department located a victim, a 42-year-old male from Far Rockaway, NY, suffering from a nonfatal gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in
Paterson, New Jersey. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
