Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman
announce that at approximately 4:59 a.m. on February 4, 2023, members of the Passaic Police
Department responded to the area of South Street and Ninth Street in Passaic, New Jersey on a
report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 54-year-old male
Passaic, New Jersey resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was
transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
