Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 8:05 p.m. on May 11, 2023, members of the
Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of North 10th Street and Clinton Street
on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, members of the Paterson Police Department located a
juvenile suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. Aid was immediately rendered by responding
officers and the individual was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in
Paterson, New Jersey for treatment. Police also located evidence of a potential crime scene at the
location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
