Shots Fired In the Area of Main Ave and Sherman St

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that at approximately 7:04 p.m. on June 6, 2023, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Main Avenue and Sherman Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival members of the Passaic Police Department observed a potential crime scene but no victim was located. Passaic Police were subsequently notified that a 29-year-old male arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Based on preliminary information the victim was shot in the area of Main Avenue and Sherman Street in Passaic, New Jersey.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
