Shooting In the Area of 39 Harding Ave

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Department Chief Thomas Rinaldi announce that at approximately 2:47 a.m. on June 16, 2023, Clifton Police responded to the area of 39 Harding Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey on a report of shots fired. Clifton Police located a 32 year-old female Clifton, New Jersey resident suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. Aid was immediately rendered to the victim and a potential crime scene was located in the area. Clifton Police received reports from St. Mary’s Hospital of three additional victims arriving with gunshots, namely a 35 year-old male West Orange, New Jersey resident and a 30 year-old male Burlington, New Jersey resident each suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound, and a 27 year-old male Newark, New Jersey resident suffering from a serious gunshot wound. The 27 year-old male is currently reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
