Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 4:03 a.m. on June 25, 2023, members of the
Paterson Police Department were advised that an 18-year-old male Elmwood Park, New Jersey
resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Wayne, New Jersey seeking
treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was later transported to Saint Joseph’s
University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. At this time no crime scene has been
located.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
