Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-InCharge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 2:43 p.m. on October 17, 2023, members of
the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East Holsman Street and North
Bridge Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival to the area,
members of the Paterson Police Department located two shooting victims; an 18-year-old male
Paterson, New Jersey resident and a 19-year-old female Paterson, New Jersey resident. Both
victims were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.
Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area. The investigation remains active
and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
