Update - Second Victim Dies Following a Shooting in the Area of Harrison Street & Hope Avenue in Passaic, NJ

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that on October 28, 2023, at approximately 3:16 a.m., Passaic Police Officers responded to the area of Harrison Street and Hope Avenue in Passaic on a reported shooting. Officers located two victims with gunshot wounds. The first victim, Edgar Guillen, a 25-year-old male from Passaic, was pronounced deceased on scene. The second victim, Kyle Schneider, an 18-year-old male from Passaic, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. He was pronounced deceased on November 1, 2023.

This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
