Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman
announce that at approximately 12:30 a.m. on November 18, 2023, members of the Passaic
Police Department responded to the area of Passaic Street and Third Street in Passaic, New
Jersey upon a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, responding officers were unable to locate any
victims. A short time later they were notified that a 37-year-old male Passaic resident arrived at
Hackensack University Medical Center suffering from gunshot wounds. In addition, police were
also able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
