West New York Man Charged with Sex Crime on Juvenile

On Monday, May 1, 2023, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Marcos Quexordon, 19, of West New York, on charges relating to a sex crime committed on a 12-year-old girl. The crime occurred in a West New York apartment on Saturday, April 29, 2023. The victim is known to the defendant.

Quexordon is charged with Sexual Assault by Contact in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b, a crime of the second degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a, a crime of the third degree. He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance. The State has filed a Motion for Detention in this matter, which is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest. The above charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. R.P.C.3.6(b)(6).
