Pedestrian Seriously Injured in North Bergen Collision

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the North Bergen Police Department are investigating a crash that seriously injured a pedestrian on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Just after 3:30 a.m., the North Bergen Police Department was notified of a collision in the area of Bergenline Avenue and 92nd Street. Upon arrival, officers found that a Honda Pilot, operated by Steve Inoa, 40, of North Bergen, had struck a pedestrian on the eastside sidewalk of the intersection. The pedestrian, a 65-year-old woman, was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Hackensack University Medical Center, where she is currently in critical but stable condition.

During the preliminary investigation, Inoa was charged with Driving While Intoxicated by the North Bergen Police Department. The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the North Bergen Police Department are actively investigating this matter.
