Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.
Tonight, December 8th, in the JCC Taub Auditorium at 7:00PM, the Korean Community Center invites you to come and enjoy an evening of Korean Music. Featuring the Nanum Harmony Orchestra of students and adults, and the G-Hwaja music group featuring traditional Korean instruments. Come enjoy an evening of Korean music and Christmas Carols.
Tomorrow, Saturday, December 9 from 10 am to 2 pm, the Senior Center is hosting an art sale. See for yourself the wonderful talent of Senior Center members. Hot Chocolate and light refreshments will be served.
This Sunday, December 10, at 2:00 pm in the Library Art Gallery, the Tenafly Library Friends present Mel's Jazz Zone, led by Tenafly resident Mel Nusbaum. No registration is necessary and all are welcome.
The Tenafly Elks are hosting a pie tasting contest on Sunday, December 10 from 4 PM to 8 PM. Help the Elks pick a winner for the best Apple pie. Your $10 donation helps support the Elks charitable work.
Santa is coming to town! Visit with Santa on Wednesday, December 13 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Pre-registration is required on Community Pass. For details, visit the Borough website under Parks & Recreation.
Sign up for the Nature Center's Winter Solstice Campfire and Night Hike on Saturday, December 16 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Celebrate the season with a guided night hike, and a toasty campfire with s’mores! Fun for kids and adults. Register at www.tenaflynaturecenter.org.

Enjoy a musical event with the Community Choir led by Director of Music Jim Millar, accompanied by outstanding orchestral musicians from Tenafly High School, performing Vivaldi's Magnificat on December 17 at 6:30 pm, at the Presbyterian Church, free of charge.
Mommy/Daddy and Me group meets Saturdays, 9:30 am to 11 am in the Church House, 55 Magnolia Ave. Coffee and chat for the parents and lots of fun toys for the kids. For age 5 and under, free of charge, all are welcome.
Dashel Prywes, a sixth grader at TMS, is working to set a Guinness World Record for tallest Magna-tile tower. He is doing this to raise awareness for childhood kidney disease. Dashel was born with kidney disease, but that doesn’t stop him from rock climbing, playing chess, or trying to break World Records. You can support Dashel in reaching his goal by visiting www.Dashelskidneyjourney.com and help Dashel and Tenafly receive their first Guinness World Record.
