Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.
Dashel Prywes, a sixth grader at TMS, is working to set a Guinness World Record for tallest Magna-tile tower. He is doing this to raise awareness for childhood kidney disease. Dashel was born with kidney disease, but that doesn’t stop him from rock climbing, playing chess, or trying to break World Records. You can help Dashel reach his goal by visiting www.Dashelskidneyjourney.com and help Dashel and Tenafly receive their first Guinness World Record.
You are invited to a pop-up art exhibit featuring the works of over 40 incredible artists. Painting, mixed media, etchings and handmade jewelry. The exhibit is open Saturday, November 18 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, November 19 from Noon to 4 pm at 6 West Railroad Avenue.
Mommy/Daddy and Me group meets Saturdays, 9:30 am to 11am in the Church House, 55 Magnolia Ave. Coffee and chat for the parents, and lots of fun toys for the kids. For age 5 and under. Free of charge and all are welcome.

Church of the Atonement’s famous Country Fair will take place this Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free, and includes Tricky Tray, Auction, sale items, Christmas Booth, Books, Bake Sale, soups, and a free bounce house for the kids. 97 Highwood Avenue, at the corner of Highwood and Engle. Come join the fun.
Tenafly's Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service is Tuesday, November 21st at 7:30 pm. This year hosted at Trinity Lutheran Church, at the corner of Knickerbocker and Riveredge Roads. Reflections of Faith and Thanksgiving will be offered from all perspectives. Everyone is welcome!
This years’ THS Thanksgiving football Game is at 10am in Dumont on Thanksgiving morning. This is the 74th Annual Turkey Bowl between the Tigers and the Huskies. Festivities will kickoff at 9:40 with a performance by the "Tigers" marching band.
The Recreation Winter Program Guide for all activities, sports and events is available now. Register on Community Pass starting November 27th. Visit the Borough website under Parks & Recreation.
Community Playdate is back! Meet new friends and enjoy sports, games and free play. Register now on Community Pass for the Saturday, December 2 event. Open to kids from kindergarten to 7th grade.
