On November 14, 2023, Police Officers Justin Machno and Kiril Petrov, who are assigned to the “Power Shift,” were on patrol in the area of 700 Plaza Drive. At approximately 8:23 P.M., Police Officer Machno observed Noah Gregg improperly park his 2009 Acura TL. Furthermore, the license plate affixed to the vehicle was “not on file.”

While Police Officer Machno was addressing the parking violation, Noah Gregg returned, but denied any knowledge of the vehicle, despite being observed exiting the vehicle by the officer a short time earlier.

While speaking with him, Police Officers Machno and Petrov developed a suspicion that criminal activity was afoot and summoned Secaucus Police K-9 Brix to the scene. Upon his arrival, K-9 Brix conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and indicated that narcotics were present within.

During a search of the Acura, over 1,800 pills of suspected ecstasy along with over 4.5 ounces of suspected cocaine were seized. Additionally, a North Carolina license plate that was reported stolen was found within the vehicle. Noah Gregg, 29, of New York, NY was placed under arrest.

“This arrest speaks volumes of the quality of officers that make up this police department,” Chief Dennis Miller said. “Officers who can take a parking violation and use their training and experience to make a significant arrest and seize a large quantity of illicit drugs, make be proud to lead this department. I once again tout the success of the “Power Shift.”

Noah Gregg was charged with Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7], Possession of Ecstasy with the Intent to Distribute [2C:35-5b(1)], Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute [2C:35-5b(2)], and two counts of Possession of CDS [2C:35-10a(1)]. He was lodged in the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
