Tie a Pink Ribbon

Mayor Santana, Council Members, Minette’s Angels Foundation, and Mujeres Valientes Unite for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Mayor Peter Santana, Town Council members, and representatives from Mujeres Valientes (Brave Women) and Minette’s Angels Foundation gathered outside Kearny Town Hall for the annual Breast Cancer Awareness “Tie a Pink Ribbon” event.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and pink ribbons symbolize the critical message: “Mammograms Save Lives.” Mujeres Valientes, a support group founded 20 years ago by Kearny resident Emma Quintana, is a pillar of strength for women and families facing breast cancer.

The Mayor commended Mujeres Valientes for their enduring resilience and dedication to raising awareness of the importance of early detection.
