​Fairfield Swears in New Special Police Officer

Fairfield (NJ) On Monday September 25, 2023, at themonthly meeting of the Fairfield Governing Body, Mayor William Galese presided over the public swearing in ceremony of the Fairfield Police Department’s newest officer, Class II Special Officer Jacob Mangeri.

Special Officer Mangeri attended Ramapo College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. On September 19th, he graduated from the Passaic County Police Academy as a member of Class #23-59.

Fairfield Police Chief Anthony G. Manna stated, “Special Officer Mangeri has a very extensive resume in the area of public safety and service for such a young man.”

He either currently or formerly served as a park ranger for Pequannock Township, as a visitor service assistant for the New Jersey State Park Police, as a SLEO I officer for the Prospect Park Police Department and as a volunteer firefighter with Pequannock Engine Company 1.

Special Officer Mangeri will be assigned to the Patrol Section to help supplement the work of the department’s full time personnel.
