Only Medicare Part B is accepted for insurance coverage. For any other insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage options like HMOs or PPOs, there will be a charge of $20 for the regular vaccine or $63 for the high-dose vaccine, payable in cash. It's important to be aware that if you're enrolled in a non-Medicare Part B plan such as an HMO or PPO, you might consider getting your vaccine from your primary care physician, where there may be no associated cost.
Individuals enrolled in Medicare Part B must ensure they have their Medicare Part B card with them. Children between the ages of 3 and 17 are eligible for vaccination, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some children in the 3 to 8 age range may require a second dose. It's worth noting that the vaccine for children is free of preservatives.
