Secaucus Police Blotter 09/11/2023-09/17/2023

On 09/11/2023 at 12:58 AM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle parked in the fire zone at 101 Plaza Centre Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old female, Crystal Latimer of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Ms. Latimer was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/11/2023 at 9:56 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Dasjon Simpson of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $6,500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out West Orange, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Newark, Union and West Orange did release Mr. Simpson on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Mr. Simpson was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/12/2023 at 1:51 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Neptune Police Department to take into custody a 52-year-old male, Troy Huff of Asbury Park, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Mr. Huff was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/13/2023 at 1:06 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old female, Orkidia Rojas of Bayonne, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Ms. Rojas was additionally charged with Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A] and Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer [2C:12-1B(5)(A)]. Ms. Rojas was found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Ms. Rojas was unable to post bail for the outstanding warrant. Ms. Rojas was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 6 motor vehicle summonses. Ms. Rojas was also issued her complaint summonses and was transported to the West New York Police Department.

On 09/13/2023 at 7:33 PM, Secaucus Police observed a vehicle improperly parked in the area of Third Street and Pandolfi Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Fredis Avila-Vasquez of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Avila-Vasquez was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 09/14/2023 at 4:49 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old female, Latasha Moreno of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Parsippany, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Parsippany released Ms. Moreno on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

On 09/15/2023 at 1:58 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 71-year-old male, Clark Orsawolf of Union City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically Pepper Spray and Possession of a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1D]. Mr. Orsawolf was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/15/2023 at 5:25 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 45-year-old male, Kevin Dadaille of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Enfield Police Department in Connecticut with no bail along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Pohatcong, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option. The Pohatcong Police Department did release Mr. Dadaille on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Dadaille was also charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Dadaiile was issued his complaint warrant along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/15/2023 at 6:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located on Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Michael Donatoni of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Donatoni was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/16/2023 at 3:45 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old female, Samantha Stankiewicz of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Montclair, NJ in the amount of $500.00 for each warrant. Montclair did release Ms. Stankiewicz on her own recognizance pending a future court date for both outstanding warrants. Ms. Stankiewicz was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ. Ms. Stankiewicz was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody.

On 09/17/2023 at 8:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Topsail Lane on a report of a motor vehicle in the water. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied upon arrival of the police. The police located the driver of the motor vehicle and during the investigation, the police arrested a 44-year-old male, Eric Davis of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50] and Possession of Toxic Chemical for Purpose of Intoxication [2C:35-10.4B(2)]. Mr. Davis was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses including his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
