Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 07/29/2019 at 8:58 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27 year old male, Antony Ho of Belleville, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Mr. Ho was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently released from police custody.

On 07/29/2019 at 9:58 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the County Car Wash located at 60 County Ave on a report of a male on the premises who was threatening the employees with a baseball bat. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41 year old male, Michael Evans of Newark, NJ for Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3A] and Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(3)]. Mr. Evans was served his complaint summons and was subsequently released from police custody.

On 07/29/2019 at 10:32 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Buchmuller Park located at 150 Plaza Center Road on a report of individuals possibly smoking Marijuana in the park. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Karl Hibbert of Fishers, IN and a 19 year old female, Juliandra Castillo of Dedham, MA for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Both individuals were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 07/30/2019 at 1:30 AM, Secaucus Police observed a bicycle being operated without a headlight in the area of Harmon Meadow Boulevard. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28 year old male, Thomas Kovsh of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be LSD [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Gabapentin [2C:35-10.5E(1)]. Mr. Kovsh was also found ot have one active warrant issued from the Atlantic City Municipal Court on June 6, 2018 with a bail of $350.00. Mr. Kovsh was issued his complaint warrant along with 1 summons for operating a bicycle without a headlight and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/31/2019 at 9:09 AM, in furtherance of an investigation being conducted by the Secaucus Police Detective Division in regards to an ongoing theft occurring at Marra’s Drug Store located at 1285 Paterson Plank Road, the police arrested a 55 year old female, Joann Bernstein of Livingston, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Ms. Bernstein was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 08/02/2019 at 4:30 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the bus stop in the area of 1203 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a fight. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25 year old male, Lashawn Newton of Englewood, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Newton was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 08/04/2019 at 2:34 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29 year old male, Mohan Manna of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. A 23 year old male, Carlos Arjune of Jersey City, NJ was also arrested and charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Arjune was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Manna was served his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
