Secaucus Police Blotter 2/4/2019 - 2/10/2019

Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 02/04/2019 at 11:18 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Newark Police Department to take custody of a 38 year old male, Edward Charles of the Bronx, NY for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Charles was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently released from custody.

On 02/04/2019 at 6:15 PM, Officer’s from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 31 year old female, Rosa Belber of Bayonne, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Ms. Belber was unable to post bail for the warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/04/2019 at 8:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Deport on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55 year old male, John Smallze of Hoboken, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)]. Mr. Smallze was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Totowa, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. The police also arrested a 42 year old female, Donna Canetti of Jersey City, NJ for Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)]. Ms. Canetti was served her complaint summons and was released from custody. Mr. Smallze was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/05/2019 at 5:13 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Middlesex County Jail to take into custody a 33 year old female, Roxana Santiago of Perth Amboy, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,200.00. Ms. Santiago was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/06/2019 at 3:28 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26 year old male, Kevin Iraheta of Union City, NJ for an NCIC warrant out of the North Hampton County Sheriff’s Department with no bail. Mr. Iraheta was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Leonia, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Iraheta was additionally charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Iraheta was served his complaint warrant along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/06/2019 at 5:38 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23 year old male, Joseph Santacruz of Union City, NJ for Possession of Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute [2C:35-5B(3)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to Distribute [2C:36-3]. Mr. Santacruz was served his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently released from custody.

On 02/08/2019 at 1:49 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49 year old male, Sung Yang of Passaic, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Yang was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant out of Carlstadt, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Yang was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/09/2019 at 4:06 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Riverside Medical Group located at 714 10Th Street on a request for police assistance. During the investigation, the police arrested a 62 year old male, Shellie Bradley, non-domiciled, for an outstanding warrant out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Bayonne Police Department did release Mr. Bradley on his own recognizance and he was subsequently released from custody.

On 02/09/2019 at 9:29 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, Daniel Jerez, of Lodi, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Paramus, NJ for $558.00. Mr. Jerez was able to post bail for the involved warrant. Mr. Jerez was served 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.

On 02/10/2019 at 3:29 AM, Secaucus Police observed a vehicle stopped on the Route 3 East Service Road near the exit to Harmon Meadow Blvd. During the investigation, the police arrested the driver, a 27 year old male, Jose Teixeira of Harrison, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Teixeira was also issued a summons for Reckless Driving [39:4-96] and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 02/10/2019 at 4:50 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Bayonne Police Department to take into custody a 30 year old female, Stephanie Nunez of Jersey City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00. Ms. Nunez was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/10/2019 at 5:26 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28 year old male, Adrian Hernandez-Triana of Weehawken, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Mr. Hernandez-Triana was served his complaint summons and was released from custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
